A team of 20 staff from Leeds-based Lowell Group has raised nearly £2,000 for the charity Child Poverty Action Group after taking on the gruellingYorkshire three-peak challenge.

The challenge involves hiking 25 miles through the Yorkshire Dales, climbing the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Inglebrough along the way – all within 12 hours.

Lowell Group’s chief executive officer James Cornell, who led the team, said:

We faced everything from red hot sunshine to cold, driving rain and waist-deep bogs but it was very rewarding to meet the challenge and raise money for such a worthy cause. Child Poverty Action Group is working to eradicate child poverty in the UK and secure a better deal for lower income families. We would like to thank everyone who sponsored us for their generous support.
